There had always been rumors a Driving Park (Horse Track) existed in the Warden Heights area. The area where the Delano-Hitch Pool was at one time, and when it was transferred to the City of Newburgh, was called The Driving Park but there was another track. I came across this by accident. From this 1930s aerial view, If you look above Newburgh Free Academy, you can see the track in the area of where Warden Heights is today. The area was of course a lot different only a short time ago.
